Hey everyone! Thank you so so much for coming here this weekend for my graduation! It meant so much to me. Part of what keeps me going is knowing that I have such wonderful family and friends that believe in me and are proud of what I've accomplished so far. That is worth all the long hours of studying and stress. I'm super excited to start my first nursing job. I'll let you know how it goes!
I had a blast at the BBQ, hope everyone else did too!
Here is the link to Scott's blog in India, make sure you check it out!

Hi Family. It's been a while since I have written on here, so thought I would catch you all up on my life. Christmas was so fun this year. Went up to Grandma and Grandpa's for the annual sledding trip with all my old friends. This has become a tradition going on 6 years now. Here's the whole group:
Once again, I was amazed at the beauty of our mountains and the hominess of the cabin. Grandma and Grandpa were so hospitable to have all 13 of us!!! It was a big group to house like sardines, but then again, it was no different than any other time we all get together. I think it's so fun! It's all apart of the experience.
A "good friend," Jordan, and I made it down to LA in January to see a favorite musician of ours and got to stay with the Kleins for a few days. Between hikes, great food, dance lessons in the living room, a great concert with jordan, me, scott and McKenzie... it was a blast. Thanks you guys for having us! It was crazy, because on the way back up north from LA, we randomly ended up in Stocton at the same exact time Hollie and James were eating dinner there, so we all met up.
In other news... Everything is on for Jordan and my trip to Guatemala. We're meeting up with our friend's Brian and Lauren who are living there studying Spanish. Here's the four of us braving the cliffs at Mt. Shasta (jk)
I'm pretty excited seeing as how this is the first time i've been out of the country in over 2 years. It's about time. We're going to be backpacking for three days, traveling through part of the country where there are some native villages and mayan ruins. I'm trying to brush up on my spanish this semester at Shasta College. Hopefully i'll be somewhat useful. Smile.
Well, miss you all. I'll probably be seeing the Kleins next month since we're flying out of LA. So, see you then! Love, Shelby

Hollie's teaching me how to use this blog finally! (actually she's the one typing). I'm going to figure out how to put some pictures of my biking adventures and my favorite daughter on here soon! I've got a few feet of snow right now. I spent yesterday snowshoeing with Hollie and James up at Lake Alpine, the weather was awesome. More stories to come...hope everyone is doing well. Here are some pictures from our hike up Half Dome a couple years ago.
